Simple Steps for Smouldering Smoky Eyes
3/7/2016 10:28:49 AM

Since the days of Cleopatra, the smart and sexy "smoky eye” has delivered many dazzling glances. This highly sought-after, infamous look is well-known for vamping up a night on the town whether you’re in a cocktail dress or jeans.

While the smoky eye creates a complex tinge of mystery for its wearer, don’t let it fool you. It may appear difficult to apply, but these simple steps will help you achieve this timeless, sultry look.

· Step One: Blend primer onto your eyelid before applying any makeup to block potential smears.

· Step Two: To cover dark circles, blend a creamy concealer under the eye then use a brush to lightly apply translucent powder. The powder will catch any excess eyeliner, so at the end of the application you will be able to easily wipe it away.

· Step Three: Take a dark shade and blend from your lashline to your eyelid crease. Take a small, angled brush to drag the shadows -- lightly -- along your lower lashline.

· Step Four: Smudge the shadow at the crease and along the lower lashes. Use a Q-Tip or, better yet, a smudger. Don’t try to use your finger. Remember: The goal is for the smudge to appear natural, rather than harsh.

· Step Five: Apply eyeliner to the top and bottom, as close to the lash line as you can.

· Step Six: Top it off with plump mascara!
